What are they going to do? Made of an atom stew That electron what does it do? Single and infinite? Or many and infinite? Are we confused? What are they going to do? Made of an atom stew Gluons binding quarks to fuel that hadron spew Billions of years ago To make, me and you Neutrons they can smash Where others get whiplash But to get to know a neutrino You’ll be waiting a long time to Quantum fuzziness Through the double slits But you can’t look The Standard Model of Particles it is comprised Of Leptons, Quarks, and Bosons, both the Gauge and Scalar kinds The Higgs it gives the mass but gravity it still hides What are we going to do? Dividing by zero just won’t do We keep on diving and that leads to Answers to Questions. And questions to answers Science rules!

We got color in the sky And gray on the ground Rainbows coming out We got water in the breeze Electricity Everybody’s singing out What are we going to do? So far can’t complain What’d that be anyway Words just coming out That wouldn’t do a thing Except to frame How I feel about What I’m going to do What am I going to do? In a matrix jelly roll with tea Swimming through galactic shoals Time is not about To turn to ec-centricity Sights and sounds out of reach Where here to find out What are we going to do? We got color in the sky And gray on the ground Rainbows coming out To turn to electricity Sights and sounds within our reach We’re about to find out

Summertime 01:58
Kick it off for the Summertime UV Rays and some Key Lime pie Hot dogs on the boardwalk, go To the beach and smell the shore Taken by the ocean breeze Maybe I should dive into the sea Do I have what it takes to be a merman? No But it’s fun to pretend I could give a go Swimming underwater and patrolling the seas Living an aqua dream Taken by the ocean breeze Maybe I should dive into the sea Kicked it off for the Summertime Sunburned. Man, my skin is fried Full as a whale that had their fill on krill Living an aqua dream Taken by the ocean breeze Maybe I should dive into the sea Taken by the ocean breeze Maybe I should dive into the sea

Memories 02:17
Memories long forgotten Don’t want to be jaded But sometimes they fade with time Memories creep up on me Can I even trust them When they’ve been know to lie What’s to believe We’re all in the past No today the present can’t mask Memories long forgotten Don’t want to remember But sometimes they pop into your mind There’s no rhyme or reason Though I try to remind myself For my health it’s good to remember times What’s to believe We’re all in the past No yesterday the present can’t mask What’s to believe We’re all in the past No tomorrow the present can’t outlast

Critical 03:05
Maxi alligators hustling on the company dime Mission critical this waterfall is literal Don’t push that red button or Schrodinger's cats will die An awful gory mess of fuschia mixed with pink bow ties Painted stripes on sidewalks don’t seem to keep me in a straight line Pouring down on me are piles of adverbs and similes Mission critical this waterfall is literal Spewing rainbow soot, that’ll probably get us high Temperamental muscle cars revving through the sky Painted stripes on sidewalks don’t seem to keep me in a straight line Emu’s wearing neckties while in Greece on a holiday Mission critical this waterfall is literal Everst in space because it wanted it that way Boulders playing tennis with rackets made of clay Painted stripes on sidewalks don’t seem to keep me in a straight line A set of one that’s all and none because it has no form Mission critical this waterfall is literal Doves that knock on doors and ask to use the loo Creating chaos as it dies and lives anew Painted stripes on sidewalks don’t seem to keep me in a straight line

Doesn’t dream much Wouldn’t mind if they did Somewhere in paradise A sample of Eden But there’s no remembering When it’s time to awaken Pleasant dreams Goodnight Pleasant dreams Sleep tight Too much information in the world Why’d ya want to stress about that There’s much better ways to spend your time Before you disappear Pleasant dreams Goodnight Pleasant dreams Sleep tight Hope all wishes come true When you wake up with the dawn

Empty City 03:02
The streets are empty People are nowhere to be found Where’d they go now Did they hide out underground I don’t know if I can take the silence anymore I don’t think I can take the silence anymore The streets are empty People are nowhere to be found Where’d they go? I don’t know maybe underground I don’t think I can sing if it means That there’s no one to hear the songs in me I don’t think I can take the silence anymore I know I can’t take the silence anymore The streets are empty People are nowhere to be found Where’d they go? I don’t know maybe underground I don’t think I can take the silence anymore I know I can’t take the silence anymore I don’t think I want to take the silence anymore The streets are empty People are nowhere to be found

Make A Plan 03:30
Stimulate your fate Do what you want Make a plan Don’t hesitate It’ll come Manifest what you need to be what you want to be Stimulate your fate Do what you will Make a plan Don’t hesitate And you’ll be there before you even know Keep on going and you’ll get home

about

Written and recorded in the month of February 2022 for the www.rpmchallenge.com and as a challenge to myself.

I record anything musically interesting I come up with; a bit of lyric, hummed melodies, wicked riffs, or interesting chord progressions. This album takes those sonic nuggets of the past two pandemic years and filters them through my subconscious into a batch of songs I'm proud of. Welcome to "Banana Tusks" my surrealist interpretation of personal music sketches.
